Villeta host mom’s friend came across this page in the social section (La Vidriera – Looking Glass) of the Asunción magazine TVO. She tore it out of the magazine at the hair salon. It says…
The Kilks en Kilkenny: Luego de una semana sin musica en vivo, The Kilks, la banda del pub irlandés, volvió para ambientar la noche con rock & roll.
And my clunky translation:
The Kilks at Kilkenny: After a week without live music, The Kilks, the Irish pub’s band, returned to set the mood of the night with rock & roll. (And then the caption spells my name Emily Baley.)
This picture is from the night of our swearing-in in Asunción when we went to the Irish pub that’s about as Irish as me. The Kilks are a PY-an band that played U2, The Doors, The Killers, Jason Mraz (ugh I can’t even escape his music in Paraguay?), but no Journey despite the number of times we screamed for them to play it. I’m pictured with my friends Mo and Nikki. And no, I”m not sure why I’m not looking at the camera. Easily distracted?
Also, to the right (in the larger, full-page view) are volunteers Hannah and Paulette representin’ PCPY!

Emily….You’re famous!!!! I’m so proud of you and you seem so happy!!!
We’ve loved having Katie home this summer….getting sad that she has less than 2 weeks before going back to Prague!!!
Thanks Mama Co! You know, I have lost count of the months it has been since I saw CoCo! Can you believe that? It’s been TOO long. I hope she’ll be able to come down and visit after she’s done with her studies in Praha.
Take Care! Miss you!
You are the whole package, darling Emi! Keep on keeping on!
Love, Karen
