Ruffo
This is Ruffo, the best dog in Villeta, who belongs to one of our host families. According to his owner, Ruffo thinks he is human. He sits in chairs at the dinner table, for example. He´s a loveable pup and likes to play volleyball with us when we visit his house.
U.S. Embassy, Asuncion
We were invited to an embassy celebration on July 2 that included a big cookout of hot dogs and hamburgers, volleyball tournament, music, one of those bouncy houses and bouncy slides, ice cream and beer. The highlights were that our volleyball team came in second place in the volleyball tournament. Our team name is ¨La Fuerza de Tres Leones¨–The Force of Three Lions. Tres Liones happens to be a bourbon company that has been advertising with much force during the World Cup. The commercials are everywhere, so our team name got a lot of laughs.
Coincidentally, July 2 was my host mom´s birthday! And there were nice flower arrangements on the table, so I was able to snag one to take home as a gift. My mom really appreciated it, and we took a family portrait.
